Real Pilots don’t press buttons to communicate with Air Traffic Controllers and neither will you with VoxATC 6 for Microsoft Flight Simulator X.
VoxATC 6 uses real world RT phraseology for both the UK and Europe and specifically follows the CAA document CAP 413 and amongst other things covers Basic and Traffic service, transit of controlled and military airspace. You can fly IFR or VFR, even stay in the circuit if you want. With VoxATC 6 you won’t pick up bad habits and if English is not your first language, you can practice at home, on your PC.
The new VoxATC 6 ticks all the boxes and lands on the numbers thanks to the wish lists from our loyal customers. For those that don’t know about VoxATC. This is a voice recognition based air traffic control add-on for Microsoft Flight Simulator X. As a virtual pilot you actually talk to Air Traffic Controllers. This makes the flight simulation experience somewhat more demanding as there is much more to do besides simply drifting over the landscape. The astounding new features of VoxATC 6 include:
1/ Full compatibility with Windows Vista and Windows 7 64 and 32 plus Windows XP
2/ VoxATC 6 automatically generates the correct SID and STAR* and airways fixes anywhere in the world, based on wind directions used during flight planning. (Flight planning may be done with FS Commander X and both programs can share the same AIRAC cycle data from Navigraph ). This also applies to third party aircraft where the same NAV Data can be used for a totally integrated flight experience.
3/ Because of Magnetic Variation, many airport runway numbers differ in the real world from the ones in FSX. VoxATC will renumber all runways to match the AIRAC cycle used for ultimate authenticity.
4/ With Windows Vista 64 and Windows 7 64, you have been limited to one voice, “Microsoft Anna”. With the new Festival voice engine, this no longer applies. You can have many voices, the number of which is limited only by your available RAM. These voices may be filtered and have radio static as well as several national accents.
5/ The DVD version of VoxATC 6 has a brand new version of AT&T voices which are specially designed for a 64 bit environment. There are four voices, 2 male and 2 female to give better and clearer speech.
6/ VoxATC 6 now features expanded helicopter operations, it is not necessary to operate like a fixed wing aircraft in FSX’s world.
7/ VoxATC 6 uses definable processor cores for efficient computer operations.
8/ Compatibility with Ultimate Traffic, and most other add-on traffic programs plus most complex aircraft including the PMDG range.
Flight simulation has never been as realistic as it is with VoxATC 6. You can now Fly, Speak and Comply. Now you will really understand what it is like to fly as a Professional Pilot. If it all gets too much you can still use “Microsoft Anna” but as your co-pilot and she will handle the radio, letting you concentrate on your flying.
VoxATC 6 doesn’t make flying an aircraft in FSX any easier, just the opposite in fact. It makes it harder and more challenging as it is in the real world. Are you up to it, Captain?

Additional Product Information
VoxATC X UK for FSX
VoxATC is a huge advance in Flight Simulation that adds a whole new dimension to the experience
.
VoxATC is the first ATC add-on for FSX and FS2004 that has been developed with integrated voice recognition.
Talk to the controllers using standard ATC phraseology and what you say will be heard.
Just like in the real world, requests must be properly constructed, instructions complied with and read back correctly.
Main Features of VoxATC:
Fully integrated Voice Recognition
Intelligent agent controllers and AI aircraft
VFR and IFR flights
All ATC units are included (Clearance Delivery, Ground, Tower, Departure, Approach, Center and Flight Service Stations)
Unicom and Multicom operations handled
Traffic have user configurable call signs and user set levels for different airspace types
SIDs, STARs, waypoints and airways are referred to by name
Enroute Holds
Emergencies
Regional phraseology used in ATC exchanges; 'decimal' in frequency settings, 'pass your message' and 'ready for departure' are just a few examples of European usage
QNH / QFE altimeter settings in millibars in the European region
Regional transition levels
Fully controlled visible AI traffic Ten Salient features of VoxATC X
1/ VoxATC is the only voice recognition based ATC add-on for FSX and communicates via SimConnect. You press a selectable "transmit" button on your joystick and talk normally. With a little training you can expect better than 95% recognition.
2/ VoxATC X UK is supplied with four seperate 16 bit third party voices by AT&T.
3/ VoxATC X UK installs under XP or Vista ( Vista requires Microsofts' US voice recognition engine to be installed ). Vista adds Microsoft "Anna" to the selectable list of voices that may be chosen for pilots or controllers.
4/ VoxATC X allows flight under both Instrument Flight Rules (IFR) and Visual Flight Rules (VFR). With IFR VoxATC will realistically vector you onto final. You can even generate your own SID or STAR if you require.
5/ VoxATC version X is a "universal" version. The phraseology changes mid Atlantic so that in USA and Canada the speech follows the FAA style and in Europe it follows the European style of ATC ie altimeter settings in inches of mercury change to settings in milibars etc and "Ready for Take off" becomes "Ready for Departure" for example.
6/ The dialog window is now a scalable, translucent gauge that can be toggled on or off and can even be undocked onto a seperate monitor.
7/ The window gauge tells you who to talk to, on what frequency and what to say. If you know what to say, you probably don't need the window.
8/ VoxATC X very cleverly creates its own AI traffic selected from AI traffic already installed in FSX and manipulates them to fit the scenario generated by your flight plan. It is compatible with My Traffic X for example. You not only hear traffic but you see it as well.
9/ VoxATC X works even better with multicore processors and gives you a good reason to use Go-Flight Radios.
10/ Vox ATC gives you the whole flying experience on your PC. If you want to fly on-line then VoxATC will give you confidence and VoxATC always has a fully populated world of air traffic controllers to talk to.
VoxATC X UK is an extention to VoxATC X which makes VoxATC X very suitable for real world RT practice. VoxATC X UK is included on the DVD and the installation is automatic. The main features are listed below:
Flight Information Service units at the appropriate airports using FIS phraseology
Air-Ground units at the appropriate airports using A/G phraseology
LARS (Lower Airspace Radar Service)
MATZ (Military Air Traffic Zone) penetration
DACS (danger area crossing service)
FIR (flight information regions) providing enroute FIS (flight information service)
Add VFR waypoints to VFR flightplans
You can also simply Fly the circuit with other circuit traffic, make the correct RT calls as you practice your skills or depart the circuit and the re-enter the pattern. The choice is yours.
